Weekly hotel openings roundup - Cairo, Paris and Sardinia

This week has seen new properties open around the globe, including much-anticipated hotels of very different sizes in New York and Paris and a new hotel on the banks of Egypt's River Nile.
InterContinental New York Times Square
New York, US
The 607-room flagship from InterContinental is wrapped in glass and features floor-to-ceiling windows which offer views across the city and Hudson River. The culinary experience is provided by Ça Va, a French restaurant by American TV chef Todd English, and the Ça Va Marché cafe, which serves breakfast and lunch.
The 137-room Kempinski is the first of the Leading Hotels of the World chain to make it to Cairo, offering a five-star boutique experience designed by Pierre Yves Rochon. There are four restaurants, a spa and health club and a butler service for residents.
Doubletree by Hilton Olbia-Sardinia
Hilton's debut in Sardinia includes 124 rooms on the northern Gallura coast, all with flat-screen TVs and free internet access. Dining options include the Tilibbas Restaurant serving Italian specialities and the Flamingos Bar, which boasts a 25-meter high vault.
Hotel Le Seven
The long-awaited Hotel Le Seven began its phased opening this week, offering a funky design mixed with futuristic accessories. The 28 rooms contain suspended beds, Nespresso machines, luminous showers and perfume emitting TVs - yes, for real.
Las Villas Hotel & Spa
Estrella del Mar, Mazatlan, Mexico
The 71-room Las Villas is the latest addition to the Estrella del Mar complex, offering easy access to the nearby golf course, tennis courts, club house, pools and restaurants. Visitors to the beachfront property can also visit the Estrella del Mar Turtle Sanctuary.
