Belgium and China both saw several openings this week, with styles ranging from the chic colors of Pantone to the extravagance of the Guoman Shanghai. In Greece, the first part of the Costa Navarino complex opened, boasting the country's first signature golf course.
The 59 guest rooms in the new Pantone Hotel are described as "works of art" with color schemes through the hotel ranging from "earth, rich" to "cheerful, warm," "captivating, esteemed, silky" or "fresh, eager." The hotel also offers the Pantone Lounge, which offers cocktails suited to guests' moods.
Etap Hotel Bruges Center
Etap brings its low-cost chain to Bruges, the "Venice of the North", offering 184 rooms with changeable lighting colors and a simple column to separate "sleeping" and "bathing" zones in each room. Only 10 minutes walk from the from the famous Beguinage, rates start at €42 per night.
Sofitel Dongguan Humen Oriental
The 409 room Sofitel Dongguan Humen combines combines "the French touch with local Chinese culture". In the Lounge Polaris, situated on the 62nd floor, guests can enjoy panoramic views, cigars and wine. The property also includes Japanese and fusion restaurants as well as a health and fitness centre, spa and indoor swimming pool.
Guoman Hotel Shanghai
Guoman's first hotel outside of the UK is the 26-floor Guoman Shanghai, with 442 rooms comprising 125 suites. There are two floors of restaurants and bars, offering everything from Japanese to British cuisine.
Costa Navarino - The Romanos
Boasting a 4,000 square meter spa and the first signature golf course in Greece, the Romanos represents the first part of Messinia's Costa Navarino resort. The property contains 289 rooms and 32 suites with private infinity pools, along with ten restaurants and bars.
