The opening of the Trump SoHo in New York this week overshadowed other goings-on in the hotel industry, as observers awaited the latest property from the luxurious Trump brand. Hilton began an opening offer for its latest New York property, while Marriott opened a new hotel in Moscow.

Hilton has announced reduced opening rates from April 7 for its new 300-room property, the brand's fourth in Manhattan. Every room includes a 42-inch flat screen television and marble bathrooms and there are two restaurants serving American and international cuisine.
The 366-room Renaissance features sweeping views of Moscow from the executive lounge and three restaurants serving classic Russian cuisine such as borscht and fusion cuisine. For travelers staying a while, the 40 extended-stay suites offer additional living space, kitchenette, refrigerators, dishwasher and stovetop.
