Weekly hotel openings roundup - New York, Dubai and Brisbane

This week has seen yet another two additions to the burgeoning New York hotel scene in Tribeca and Staten Island. Brisbane saw the first hotel under the "Spicers" brand and Radisson Blu opened a new property in Dubai.

Holiday Inn Express Staten Island
New York

Holiday Inn's newest New York property is conveniently located close to the city's three major airports. The hotel offers 95 guest rooms and a Nordic Track Fitness Center.

Sheraton Tribeca
New York

Sheraton's second NYC hotel in five months offers 369 rooms in the heart of the city, along with a restaurant, 24-hour fitness center, Starbucks cafe and a club lounge with dramatic views of midtown Manhattan.

Radisson Blu Dubai Downtown
Dubai, UAE

Rezidor's latest Dubai property is a shopper's paradise - situated in the new downtown area of Dubai (home of the Burj Khalifa), the new Radisson Blu offers 198 rooms and 22 suites within walking distance of Dubai Mall, one of the largest in the world. Other services include two restaurants, a pub, a rooftop pool and bar and a spa.

Spicers Balfour Hotel
Brisbane, Australia

Offering nine luxurious room, Brisbane's newest boutique hotel reflects "the best of contemporary Queensland living." Guests can enjoy Society Italian bed linens, Bose sound systems, iPod docking stations and a rooftop bar.

The Savoy reopened its door last Sunday after the most expensive refurbishment in British history. New highlights include nine new suites themed around the hotel's most famous guests,  several new restaurants and several environmentally friendly enhancements.
