This week saw the opening of a new five-star hotel in Dubai, plus the enormous Hard Rock Punta Cana resort and the flagship of new chain B Hotels & Resorts.
Movenpick Hotel Deira
Movenpick's 216-room hotel is the first international five-star property to be built in the suburb of Deira for ten years and offers three restaurants, a rooftop pool, gym and access to the Oceana Beach Club on the Palm Jumeirah.
Best Western Premier Miami International Airport
Miami, Florida, USA
Florida's first Best Western Premier is an upscale property with 144 rooms. Guests can enjoy a fitness center, on-site restaurant and bar, outdoor swimming pool and HDTVs in the rooms, all with easy access to Miami's tourist attractions.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana
Macao Beach, Dominican Republic
This all-inclusive resort is set across 121 lush acres (49 hectares) of beachfront and wildlife and will host a lavish opening party featuring the Gipsy Kings. The resort offers 1,800 rooms, a spa, the largest casino in the Dominican Republic, a huge nightclub and a Kerry Simon restaurant scheduled to open soon.
B Ocean Fort Lauderdale

The first flagship for new chain B Hotels & Resorts, the B Ocean Fort Lauderdale offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, a patio bar, infinity pool, a sushi restaurant, bistro and an "infinity ballroom."
