Paris, France

Shangri-La made its much-anticipated debut in the French capital this week with a new property in the former residence of Prince Roland Bonaparte. With 81 rooms and three restaurants (two opening in 2011), the hotel is a high-profile addition to the French capital's luxury hotel scene.

Four Season Resort Nevis

Closed for two years due to hurricane damage, the Four Seasons resort Nevis has been totally revamped with a new restaurant, sailing school and spa treatments. All 196 rooms and suites have been refurbished and four new 19 square meter beach houses have been constructed.
