This week saw the long-awaited opening of the new W New York Downtown, along with new resorts in Croatia and Egypt and the first hotel of the towering Abraj Al Bait complex in Mecca.

Radisson Blu Resort Split
Split, Croatia

Situated in the former Hotel Split, the newly renovated Radisson Blue offers 240 guest rooms overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the island Brac. The hotel features two restaurants, a private beach, indoor and outdoor pools and a spa with whirlpool, sauna and steam baths.

Hilton Garden Inn Aberdeen City Centre
Aberdeen, Scotland

The new Aberdeen hotel is Garden Inn's first property in Scotland and only the second in the United Kingdom. Offering 100 rooms, it offers a restaurant bar and 24 hour "Pavilion Pantry".

Meliá Sharm
Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt

Built in a "sophisticated Arabian style, the Meliá Sharm offer 468 rooms in the popular tourist resort of Sharm El Sheikh. The five-star resort offers four restaurants, a butler service and private beaches and pools.

Raffles Makkah Palace
Mecca, Saudi Arabia

The 213-room hotel is Raffles' second property in the Middle East and overlooks the Grand Mosque and the Kaaba. The luxury hotel features a butler service and four restaurants.

W New York Downtown
New York, US

Just steps away from Ground Zero, the new W New York downtown is a much anticipated opening that has added 217 rooms to the New York hotel scene. The hotel also offers a terrace bar, another restaurant and fitness suite.
