The ILA Berlin Air Show opens to the public June 11, with spectacular demonstrations expected from both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. Next week sees the Asia Luxury Travel Market, highlighting the latest trends and destinations for an Asian market that is steadily increasing in wealth.

This year sees centenary celebrations of the Berlin Air Show, the world's oldest such exhibition. Approximately 1,100 exhibitors are expected to show their products to a quarter of a million visitors, with new aircraft debuts and spectacular airshows on the agenda.
Asia Luxury Travel Market
Against the backdrop of a powerful China and a glittering World Expo, the Asia Luxury Travel Market highlights the world's most sought-after destinations, ultra-luxurious accommodation, elite transportation and unique travel experiences for the Asian market.
Wizarding World of Harry Potter Opens

Harry Potter fans around the world have been waiting for the Harry Potter theme park to open, complete with specially filmed clips featuring the actors and faithful replicas of the impressive movie sets. Attractions include the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride, Ollivander's Wand shop and the Hogwart's Express.
Marina Bay Sands Official Opening
Although partially open already, the rest of the enormous Marina Bay Sands will complete Singapore's second "integrated resort." An additional 2,560 guest rooms, more shops, restaurants and nightlife options and the Sands SkyPark will open.
Al Maktoum International Airport Opens
At ten times the size of Dubai's existing airport, Al Maktoum International airport is set to be the world's largest passenger and cargo hub. With six runways, the airport will initially open to cargo traffic and passenger operations will be phased in gradually.
Norwegian Epic July 4th Fireworks Display
New York, USA
The new Norwegian Epic is to host the annual Macy's 4th of July fireworks display, live from the ship's deck in New York's Hudson river at 9:00 PM EST. She will depart on her maiden voyage shortly after, carrying 4,200 passengers.
Nieuw Amsterdam Launch
The 86,000-ton Nieuw Amsterdam will feature 11 guest decks, a cyber coffee house, a teens-only loft and space for 2,106 passengers when it is delivered in Venice.
InterContinental Times Square Opens
New York City, USA
The new flagship of the luxury InterContinental range will now officially open July 12, rising 34 storeys above the city. Facilities include the Ça Va restaurant by celebrity Chef Todd English, 607 guestrooms and a 371-square meter "Gotham Ballroom."
Royal International Air Tattoo
RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom
The Royal International Air Tattoo is the world's largest military air show and is held in Gloucestershire in the UK. Over 170,000 visitors are expected to attend to see displays from over 300 military aircraft from armed forces around the world.
