Paris Nautic opens its doors , showcasing the best new vessels from both French and international brands. Next week, Travel Week 2010 gets underway in Las Vegas in the US, with the headline event expected to be the Luxury Travel Expo held at Mandalay Bay.

50th Paris Nautic
December 4-12
Paris, France

Nautic is one of Europe's main boat shows and this year organizers are going all out for the 50th anniversary. Over 235,000 visitors are expected at Paris's Porte de Versailles to see new unveilings from French and international manufacturers and special exhibitions such as cooking at sea and regional showcases.

12th Travel Week

Travel Week sees a series of events organised for industry insiders and members of the public, although the largest event by far is the Luxury Travel Expo held at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort. Icehotel Jukkasjarvi Opening (public)

The world-famous Icehotel opens to the public for another season, promising cooler artwork, architecture and of course rooms than ever before. An international team of over 50 artists and sculptures work to create the hotel from locally sourced ice, only to see their creation melt again when spring comes.

Shangri-La Paris Opens

Boasting a private suite that used to be the home of Napoleon's grand-nephew Prince Roland, the Shangri-La Paris is set to be a high-profile addition to Paris' luxury hotel scene. It offers 81 rooms designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon and three restaurants.

London Boat Show

January 7-16

New additions to the 2011 London Boat Show include a family area, an indoor watersports action pool and an improved layout which will see the addition of further exhibitions dedicated to outdoors activities and cycling during the final days of the show. Old favorites of the show such as the Classic Boat workshop will also be making a return, along with  over 1,000 boats on display for guests.

North America's answer to the Swedish Icehotel is open for a shorter period than its European counterpart, but offers all the fun - incredible ice art and rooms alongside a 40 ft high "Multimedia Igloo" to celebrate the hotel's 10th anniversary.

Marina Maiden Voyage
