Weekly travel agenda: Paris Shangri-La opens, London Boat Show

This weekend sees the opening of the Shangri-La Paris, before the Christmas break. In the New Year, visitors from across Europe are expected to converge in London for the start of the London Boat Show.
Shangri-La Paris Opens
Boasting a private suite that used to be the home of Napoleon's grand-nephew Prince Roland, the Shangri-La Paris is set to be a high-profile addition to Paris' luxury hotel scene. It offers 81 rooms designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon and three restaurants.
London Boat Show

New additions to the 2011 London Boat Show include a family area, an indoor watersports action pool and an improved layout which will see the addition of further exhibitions dedicated to outdoors activities and cycling during the final days of the show. Old favorites of the show such as the Classic Boat workshop will also be making a return, along with over 1,000 boats on display for guests.
Hotel de Glace Opening
North America's answer to the Swedish Icehotel is open for a shorter period than its European counterpart, but offers all the fun - incredible ice art and rooms alongside a 40 ft high "Multimedia Igloo" to celebrate the hotel's 10th anniversary.
Motor Boat of the Year Awards

Ten picks of the year's best motor boats and yachts will be announced at a gala ceremony on January 10. The jury is comprised of journalists from Motor Boat & Yachting, Motor Boats Monthly and Custom Yachting magazines.
Marina Maiden Voyage
Oceania's latest cruise ship Marina departs Barcelona for her maiden voyage January 22, heading to Miami for the ship's inauguration. Capable of carrying 1,250 passengers, she features 10 dining venues - including one by Master Chef Jacques Pépin - a full-service spa and gymnasium, swimming pool, hot tubs, a Lalique-designed grand lobby, luxurious accommodations by Dakota Jackson and Owner's Suites furnished exclusively in Ralph Lauren Home.
42nd Boot Dusseldorf
Boot Dusseldorf is the largest boat show on the calendar and welcomes yachting and watersports enthusiasts from all over the world. As the market recovers, organizers expect 1,550 exhibitors from 50 countries will be premiering their latest highlights, with a special focus on Dutch craft and a redesigned luxury exhibition called "360° elegance live."
Disney Dream Maiden Voyage

Weighing in at 128,000 tons, the Disney Dream will be the new flagship of the Disney fleet and is packed with entertainment for both young and old passengers. Innovations include the water coaster Aquaduck and high-end French restaurant Remy.
