Travel: A spring break in Paris with Matisse from pounds 133

THE Matisse exhibition that was a stunning success in New York opened in Paris on 26 February. We are giving Independent readers the chance to visit it as part of a special spring break. The exhibition is not coming to London, so this is your one chance to experience what is likely to be the art event of the year. Thousands queued to see it at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and although the Paris exhibition will be smaller, it is likely to be equally popular.

Return scheduled flights with British Airways between London Gatwick airport and Charles de Gaulle, Paris, with flights for a typical weekend leaving on Friday morning and returning on Sunday, allowing the maximum time to enjoy Paris.

Two nights' twin-bedded accommodation - in one of the 27 individually designed rooms with en suite bathrooms - and Continental breakfast at the three-star Hotel Novanox, near the Luxembourg Gardens on the Boulevard du Montparnasse.

Ticket for the Matisse exhibition at the Centre Georges Pompidou. Valid for entrance at any time during normal opening hours: weekdays noon-10pm; weekends 10am-10pm. The exhibition organisers say people with these tickets will join the same queue as those with timed entries, rather than the general queue.

You can take the break during the week (subject to availability), but the price is based on weekend travel.

Upgrades to four- and five-star hotels in Paris, including the Hotel George V, are available for an extra charge, as are flights from regional airports including Aberdeen, East Midlands, Manchester, Newcastle and the other London airports. Travel insurance is not

included.
