Hear classical, jazz and popular music at the Fishguard International Music Festival, aka Gwyl Gerdd Ryngwladol Abergwaun (fishguard musicfestival.co.uk), from 24 July to 1 August.

Tenby will host not one but two Summer Spectaculars on 29 July and 9 August (virtualtenby.co.uk). Events include displays by the local coastguard, aerobatics above North Bay, live bands and fireworks.

Get back to the land at The Really Wild Food and Countryside Festival (reallywildfestival.co.uk) in St Davids on 5 and 6 September. Taste local food from more than 70 exhibitors and try your hand at rural crafts.

Get closer to the animal world at the recently reopened Manor House Wildlife Park (manorhouse wildlifepark.co.uk), where celebrity owner Anna Ryder Richardson has remodelled the former zoo into a more natural habitat for animals including zebras and lemurs.

St Davids has a new gallery, Oriel y Parc (orielyparc.co.uk), displaying artists' interpretations of landscape, courtesy of art and antiquities from the National Museum Wales and work by Graham Sutherland, a 20th-century artist who was inspired by this area.

Follow in the footsteps of actor Russell Crowe on Freshwater West Beach – the scene of recent filming for Ridley Scott's new Robin Hood movie, and a location for the latest Harry Potter film.

Catch the water-bus service along the Milford Haven waterway and Cleddau Estuary, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until 27 September. Stops along the way include Lawrenny, Hobbs Point, and Dale.
