South West Coast Path
'This delightful walk takes in almost two miles of the South West Coast Path,' says Tom Franklin. 'This stretch is called the Smugglers Coast because its many small inlets and caves were ideal for smuggling. Follow the coast path as far as Bossington and then bear left to Allerford, with its beautiful and much-photographed pack horse bridge. Here, you can also visit the Rural Life Museum and have a cream tea in the post office. The route back to Selworthy takes you past a fantastic picnic spot at Mitcham Seat and lovely thatched cottages at Selworthy Green.'
