Tegg's Nose & the Dean Valely, Cheshire
'On the western edge of the Peak District, this walk is at its best during the summer when the heather and harebells are in bloom,' says Tom. You might also spot wood sage and bilberry on the moors with mountain pansies in the meadows. 'Lamaload reservoir at the eastern extent of the walk is surrounded by broadleaved woodland and larch and pine plantations. Keep an eye out for woodpeckers, nuthatches, flycatchers, tree creepers, thrushes and buzzards.'
