'It is possible to avoid the summer crowds in the Lake District and this walk from Loweswater is one good example,' explains Lou. 'Choose a bright sunny day for your hike over Low Fell and Fellbarrow, between Loweswater and the Vale of Lorton. Despite their modest height these fells offer the basis for a superb walk. The paths are grassy and easy to follow with great views.'
