Newborough Warren, Anglesey
'In summer, the forest-backed sand dunes of Newborough Warren are rich in wildflowers: northern marsh orchid and the white bobbing heads of sea campion,' enthuses Jo. 'The warren was formed 700 million years ago when a great storm blew the sand inland. Today, it's wonderfully wild and a great place to explore on a sunny weekend. Walk as far as Llanddwyn Lighthouse, at the end of a narrow finger of land with views over to Snowdon.'
