'This walk from Biddulph to Congleton Edge gives you sweeping views of the Staffordshire moors,' says Tom. Start out from the Biddulph Grange Country Park and follow a stream down through barebranched beech trees, turning upwards to reach the 'Troughstones' vantage point - a boulder-strewn promontory overlooking a swathe of heather moorland from Biddulph towards Congleton. Trek from here through the dairy fields of Biddulph Park. Drop down to the Biddulph Valley to follow a disused railway track. A climb upwards takes walkers to Congleton Edge and views over the Cheshire Plain. Follow farm tracks and fields back to the railway line and return to the Country Park.
