Get behind the scenes at Heathrow? Watch BBC1 at 8.30pm tomorrow, when the six-part series Airport begins. The programme charts a day in the life of Europe's busiest airport, from check-in to touchdown. A film crew spent 18 months behind the scenes at Heathrow to get the story.
Enjoy "the world's first indoor hot-air balloon experience"? Visit the Magical World of Fantasy Island, in Ingoldmells, Lincolnshire (01754 872030), which is open this weekend, then daily from 11 May. The big attraction this year is floating up to the top of the glass pyramid that houses the theme park.
Ask a German to shut up, politely? Say "Fassen Sie sich bitte kurz", which the new German Business Phrase Book from Berlitz (pounds 4.95) says means "please be brief". The other languages in the series are French, Italian and Spanish.
Find the forecast for the Lake District? Call the Weather Line on 017687 75757.
See Dali after dark? Visit the surrealist's museum in Figueres, in Spain's Costa Brava, one summer night. Between 28 July and 8 September, it opens 10pm-12.30am daily except Mondays.
