SO scientists have at last noticed that laboratory animals do not behave like human beings metabolically ("Miracle cure for fatness has slim chance of success", 30 July). How long will it take for such an obvious fact to release animals from experiments which are not only unnecessary but which can frequently lead us away from the truth?
