HAVE you been having trouble getting through to people at the spanking new pounds 170m European Parliament building in Brussels? You have? So has the Captain. There's a problem with the telephones there, you see. They keep disappearing. More than 80 seem to have vanished since the building opened amid much fanfare last month. Sorry? Who's in charge of security at the parliament building? You must have heard of them, big firm - the name will come to me in a minute - got a number in it. Anyway, after a lot of hanging on, one of their security men told me not to read too much into these reports; he couldn't say anymore because investigations were continuing. Group something, I think.
