Zsuzsa Polgar scored a fine win in the eighth game of her world title match against Xie Jun to extend her lead 51/2-21/2. White's sacrificial attack, beginning with 22.Rg5!?, was highly explosive, but 28...Bf5! and 30...d3! launched a brilliant counter-attack. After 31.Qh8+ Ke7 32.Qxa8, Black plays 33...Qd4+ 34.Kh1 Qxf4!

As the game went, White continued to pose difficult problems, but finally Black's passed d-pawn decided the issue.
