A child’s first Christmas is an adorable time. Perfect for mini Christmas pudding outfits, and for some relatives, a chance to meet the new member of the family.

But a new survey has shown that some parents go overboard with presents for their baby’s first Christmas, spending £166 on average.

The study from the Post Office also found that in perhaps a generational difference, young parents (18-24) are the biggest spenders, splashing out £245 on presents for their baby.

It also showed parents from London spend a whopping £328.50.

Do you think it’s too much to spend?
