The original may have sunk in one of the most horrendous nautical tragedies of the 20th century, but that hasn't put off the makers of a new Titanic, who assured potential cruisers that their model Titanic II, which was announced on Tuesday, will be the "most safe cruise ship in the world".
The designs for a sequel to the massive liner whose fate shocked the world were unveiled in New York this week, along with computer generated images of the liner's insides.
Die-hard fans of James Cameron's Titanic (1997) will finally be able to enact scenes from the film - minus the last half hour, hopefully - as features such as the Grand Staircase will be recreated to the tee.
Period detail will also be maintained as customers on the voyage - which will follow the original route from Southampton to New York - are to be given early 20th century style clothing, and TV and internet won't be available.
