The self-taught teen engineer from Sierra Leone

Kelvin Doe is a 15-year-old prodigy whose various projects include combining scrap metal, baking soda and acid to create a battery for his family's home. He's also a broadcast DJ on the side with an FM transmitter, that he made himself.
Kelvin has been invited to MIT's Visiting Practitioner's Program for international development, making him the youngest ever invitee, despite the fact that he's never had an engineering or electronics class. Imagine what Kelvin could do in a world where education for the young was a right, not a privilege.
