Managers are overworked. Managers are overstressed. Managers are overpaid. Managers are over the hill. Managers are miserable because of all the people they have to downsize. And now, we learn, managers areoverloaded with information. From all the stories and surveys we read, it looks like it's a terrible time to be a manager. They are inundated from all directions with spread-sheets and graphs and memos and newsletters - aren't we all?
