Letter : Loyalty cards? I'll drink to that

Sir: I have read articles in your newspaper about supermarket loyalty cards. As a single, young male with few obligations, personal or financial, existing mainly on a diet of take-aways and snack food, I couldn't care less about supermarket loyalty cards.

The idea, however, is an interesting one and I would like to see it taken up by public houses. With a pub loyalty card the regular customer could be rewarded directly for the amount they spend on beer. This could take the form of jukebox credits, free games of pool, packets of peanuts and so on.
