LETTER : Supermarket Society

Margaret St John ("Six for the price of half a dozen", 14 April) should count herself jolly lucky: at least Sainsbury's answered her letter. I wrote four weeks ago to my local branch asking why certain goods had been removed from the shelves, and whether their removal was permanent. I have received no reply. Perhaps the manager and his staff are too busy counting up their profits on the car park? These - with no announcement - have increased from 50p per hour to pounds 2 per hour; at the same time as the "free" parking has reduced from two hours to one and a half.
