ANDREW Hingston (Bunhill, 21 June) claims that he makes the only commercial prune and armagnac ice-cream in the world. Over the past three years my wife has frequently enjoyed the Carte D'or Pruneaux Armagnac ice- cream made by Cogesal at Nanterre. I suppose that living at the edge of the Armagnac region and close to the prune capital of France we should expect to see this combination]
I look forward to tasting Mr Hingston's next time I am in England.
