Letter: After the carnage in Bosnia: long-term solution; fate of children without hope; Muslim radicalism
Sir: While I was adviser to the president of Pakistan on overseas Pakistanis (1978-1985), I advised Pakistanis in Europe to integrate and assimilate with the societies of their host countries. But now, after seeing the fate of Bosnian Muslims, I am wondering if I was giving the right advice.
The Bosnian Muslims, as you admit in your leading article 'Another Palestine in the making' (25 May), provided a 'model of a modern, secular and tolerant Muslim society', yet what happened to them?
Would anyone blame the Muslims if they become radicalised?
Yours faithfully,
