Among the responses to Rebecca Tinsley's letter (3 August), which asked readers to 'suggest ways in which British citizens can offer real help to the Bosnians', there were appeals from two charities who wrote to say they are assisting the refugees. They are the Croatian Disaster Fund, 18-20 Queen Street, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY1 1PD (0253 22441), and the Anglo-Austrian Society on behalf of the Austrian relief organisation Neighbour in Need. The society can be contacted at 46 Queen Anne's Gate, London, SW1H 9AU (071-222 0366).
