Letter: Briefly

YES, MOST of our pork is pretty tasteless and "real wild boar" is extremely flavoursome, though not fatty ("Television chef plays the mating game...", 16 August). But a real wild boar, as hunted on the Continent, lives on nuts, worms, insects, fish and anything else it can catch. Antony Worrall Thompson can improve the flavour of his pork by cross-breeding, but he won't match a real "wild" meat.
