Letter: Bull bars for the bull-headed
IT SEEMS to me that dangerous bull bars are as firmly fixed to the mentality which believes it necessary and desirable to drive a four-wheel-drive jeep-style vehicle to Safeway, or to take the kids to school, as the bars are to the front of the cars ('Accidents waiting to happen', 5 June). If people are choosing to drive wastefully pointless autos, can we really expect them to draw the line at stupidly risky aggrandisements?
