Letter: Christians and family support

Sir: I write in response to the comments of Stephen Green of the Conservative Family Campaign (2 December). As a member of the District Synod of the Methodist Church my wife and I have also been foster parents for the last 15 years, during which time we have cared for 56 children.

I say this not to 'blow our own trumpets' but to show that the Conservative Family Campaign cannot rationalise the inaction of the Government on the housing issue by criticising Christians who are trying to follow this example of Christ and build a more just and humane society.
