Sir: Your Diary column (23 February) gleefully reports the withdrawal of a television commercial for InterCity 'Every day there's the chance for everyone to see more of our land' because there are no trains on 25 and 26 December. The Independent has never provided a service on these two days, yet you have the word 'Diary' (a daily record of events) at the head of the column. Kindly remove it forthwith.
