Letter: Guilty of forgery

Sir: Your summary (leading article, 3 July) of the Nadir/Mates/SFO tangle leaves out one prime ingredient. A public body has been guilty of forgery, at least once and perhaps as a commoner practice. The Attorney General, no less, has called this silly but not dishonourable. If he really believes that, he should not hold the office he does hold. Forgery is a crime.

Yours sincerely,

PETER CALVOCORESSI
