Letter: Keep in lane and stay on the side of the angels

Sir: May I point out to PG Russell-Smith that if I maintain 70mph, it is indeed my God-given right to drive from London to Newcastle in the middle lane of the motorway. There's no point in ducking and weaving between groups of slower vehicles. And if Mr Russell-Smith sat 500 yards behind me at 70mph we would all get there safely and at the maximum legal speed.
