Sir: Regarding S. M. Sykes's letter (26 March), I must inform you that the place of burial of the poet Wilfred Owen (Lieutenant Wilfred Owen, MC) is in Row A, Grave 3, in Ors Communal Cemetery, France, and his grave is marked by a standard Commission headstone.

Ors is situated on the west bank of the Canal de la Sambre between le Cateau and Landrecies. The Communal Cemetery lies to the north-west of the village. It would appear that, when Mrs Sykes made her inquiry this cemetery was unfortunately confused with Ors British Cemetery which is one kilometre north-east of the village church.

Yours faithfully,
