Sir: With regard to your correspondent Roger Crisp (Letters, 23 September), patients may well have the right to make 'living wills' and take control of their deaths, but what about the rights of those doctors who must execute their wishes?

Heaven knows, most doctors need enough persuading that they are not God without being given His work to do.

Yours faithfully,

R. TISI
