Letter: Prince hits the target

Sir: Thanks are due to the Prince of Wales for speaking out for ordinary parents who know that 'in certain circumstances it may be necessary and sensible to administer a smack to a child'. A couple of smacks at age three might well prevent Singapore lashes being administered later in life.
