Sir: As it is not 1 April, I presume that Madame Suggia (Avant- garde sex life of an old fashioned artist, 31 August) had a twin sister who played the cello left-handed and that Augustus John painted her in the same dress. I would like to know where I can see this portrait and whether you know where I can find a left-handed cello teacher today, as I need to refer one of my pupils to one.
