Letter: Student benefits

Sir: Ann Taylor ('Labour will emphasise education', 30 June) would carry a great deal more conviction if she were able to commit the Labour Party to restoring housing benefit for students. Until this is done, students will continue to learn more about the labour market than they do about their subjects.
