Letter: Suicide remains a mystery

PAUL GORDON states that "only those who knew Sarah Kane personally can mourn her". I did not know her personally, yet I mourn the loss of one of the most powerful voices of contemporary British theatre. The difference between Kane's suicide and the thousands of "nameless" ones to which Gordon referred, is that Kane did not leave an ominous silence behind her.
