WITH REFERENCE to the letter from Christopher Jackson MEP (15 August) concerning the prevention of illegal immigrants.
What is it that:
a) appeared on all my monthly payslips
b) was required when I recently went to sign on at the labour exchange
c) appears on all correspondence from the Inland Revenue
d) is required when registering with a doctor, optician or dentist
e) appears on my annual Tessa statements?
The answer? My National Insurance number.
What, if any, are the qualifications to become an MEP?
