Letter: Thorny question of the red rose

Sir: W. E. Brum asks your English readers to celebrate St George's Day this coming Friday by wearing a red rose.

Should he ever pass this way on any 23 April, he will see the cross of St George fluttering (wind permitting) from my flagpole.

I'm not eccentric - merely hanging on to what little is left of my country.

Yours faithfully,

ROBERT VINCENT
