Letter: Throwing down the polar gauntlet

Sir: I would like to invite Paul Vallely ("Secrets of a holiday on ice", 29 May) to join me on my next holiday on the ice. I ought to warn him that he needs to train with me in the gym for at least two hours every night and spend most weekends in Dartmoor or Wales for the next six months.
