From Mr R. N. Boston

Sir: Your leader writer ("Fear and Lothian in Westminster", 8 April) declares that with the establishment of a Scottish parliament, the jurisdiction of English and Welsh MPs in many matters would end at Hadrian's Wall. He is being economical with the geography, apparently consigning Northumberland to the Scots.

Yours faithfully,

R. N. BOSTON
