Letter: What did they say at the election?

YOUR pseudo leader 'But what did they say at the election?' (18 October) was apposite and, for those who go in for schadenfreude, amusing. In fairness, though, perhaps you would remind us what the Independent on Sunday said at the election.

In a personally signed editorial Ian Jack, the editor, said: 'For all these reasons my cross on Thursday will not go next to the name of the Conservative candidate' (leader page, 5 April).
