Letter: When the wind blows

Sir: Dr Geoffrey Kaye (Letters, 11 July) says local people have found a new tranquillity from the M3 cutting at Twyford Down. Tranquillity? We who heard virtually nothing of the motorway traffic before the cutting now frequently cannot hear each other speak. It all depends on the wind.

Please let us have less of it in the Independent.
