Letters: Anger at the Orange parades

Sir: The photograph accompanying Andrew Marr's article on Northern Ireland (10 July) shows a member of the Orange Order confronting police officers with a drawn sword. If a similar incident had occurred in Brixton, the swordsman would have been arrested and charged with carrying an offensive weapon. The loyalists assert that Northern Ireland is part of the UK; they should adopt the same standards as the rest of us.
