l THE intelligent consumer will be little the wiser after reading your account of ice beer production ("Russell Cronin buys ice beer", Real Life, 20 August). Surely the partial freezing of beer and removal of the ice crystals would result in an increase in the concentration of both alcohol and other compounds in the remaining fluid.
